Day Two

Yesterday was pretty laid back for me, but my dad was pooped. We have been remodeling our kitchen! I say we, it's mostly my parents, but my brother and I have gotten to help a little. So, after he decided to take the day off work to continue the DIY work, we have a new sink! Yay! I almost WANT to do the dishes. Doing the dishes is my main household job. I'll occasionally help with laundry, and when it comes to having company I'll clean most of the house, but dishes has kinda become my thing. I'm getting faster and faster and... Ok, enough of the whole dishes thing, back to yesterday. The entire morning/early afternoon was spent on kitchen remodeling. Well, I cleaned the playroom, but hey! We all get some credit. After all, I held the faucet in place while dad screwed it in! Anyways, at about 3:45 we left to go pick up daddy's guitar at church. He's our pastor, but he also plays guitar in the worship band. Let's just say he's a man of many talents. So, we picked up his guitar and headed into town for the guitar lesson he gives weekly to the son of our very good friends. I plugged in my tablet and we listened to music. Hey, bonus review!

Looking for some great tunes? Well, here are some of my top artists!

Nickel Creek (Bluegrass)
The Piano Guys (Easy Listening)
Lecrae (Christian Rap (My Brother's Fave!))

The albums I recommend:

Nickel Creek: Nickel Creek (Yes, a band name album), Why Should the Fire Die, This Side, and A Dotted Line. I will say that a few of the songs on these albums are not very edifying if you know what I mean, but I highly recommend Elsie (A Dotted Line), When You Come Back Down (Nickel Creek), and Doubting Thomas (Why Should the Fire Die).
The Piano Guys: Piano Guys (another band name album), Piano Guys 2, and their newest album, Wonders. Their songs are sooo pretty, I just love them. I especially love Lord of the Rings (Piano Guys), Let It Go (Wonders), and Story of my Life (Wonders).
Lecrae: Lots of this particular artist's songs are aimed at gangsters turned christian, about letting go of your addictions and such, but lots of his songs are very cool. My brother's favorite songs of his are Timepiece, Give In, All I Need Is You, Outsiders, and Don't Waste Your Life.

Anyway, football ended Saturday, so no football practice after guitar lesson. We went back home, but not before I had finished the Pumpkin Spice Latte that my BFF made me. OK, enough for now, gotta go. Talk to ya'll later!

First Post

Hello, and welcome to my blog, The Life of a Christian Homeschooler. My name is Belle, and as you can tell from the blog title I am a Christian homeschooler. I have created this blog to give the world a little peek in on my life. So many times our family is asked, "So, what do you do since you're homeschooled?" as if we don't do the same things as public schoolers. Well, I'm here to tell you that we, drum roll please, LIVE LIKE REGULAR PEOPLE! (Everyone gasps) "No! How is this possible?" Well, we school just as long as you public schoolers, and when we get done with school, we get done with school. When we're hungry and just have to have a cheeseburger, we go to Sonic! When we're dying for some friend time, we invite people over. As you can see, it's quite simple. Now, I am NOT saying we are normal. No, we are very far from normal. But, no offense, so are you! In fact, I don't believe I have ever met a "NORMAL" person in my entire life! Anywhozles (Proof I'm not normal!), I am going to show you in my posts just what it's like being me. And, as a bonus, I'll review some items and post about cool restaurants and whatnot. I might even give you a list of cool self defense items so you can prep yourself with a sword and a mace and anything else that makes you feel protected just in case you meet a homeschooler! WHEW! Lots of words. So, hope you enjoyed my first post, and I shall post again soon!

TA-TA,
Belle
